Miles has a long history starting new endeavors inside Bain, including helping launch the private equity practice in the early 90s, the Atlanta office in the late 90s, the Supply Chain practice area in the late 90s, the Bain Advisor Network, and more recently Future Back Ventures.
In addition to his practice work for private equity clients, he’s been an avid angel investor and advisor to start-ups, has helped start two successful companies himself (Focal Point and Nore Womens Health) and served on the boards of Cloud Sherpas, Presidio, Simplus and Focal Point all of which had successful exits. He championed the effort for Bain to launch Future Back Ventures because he has observed and participated in the success of many Bain alum entrepreneurs.
